Whether you want a well behaved family dog or you want to train your dog for competition, The Gade Dog Training Society is the club for you!
We are a friendly club and new members are always welcome. We aim to make your dog training experience fun and our method of training is based on reward, play and lots of encouragement. We do not condone harsh training methods.
We are registered for dog training with The Kennel Club and run the Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Scheme.
We are a successful non-profit organisation and our trainers and committee are voluntary.
We are fully insured for public liability.
Our Society has been running since July 1955 – we celebrated our 60th birthday http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/news/13396150.Kin...
Between all of us, we own over 25 dogs! As well as all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, we still manage to find the time to focus on a wide range of canine activities. Our dogs have a more of a social life than we do!
Some of our trainers have obtained the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT) and Pet Dog Training Instructor (PDTI) qualifications and are working towards the KC Accreditation Instructors Scheme. The Gade Dog Training Society supports our trainers in CPD to keep up to-date with new training methods.
Between us we have a wealth of knowledge in dealing with various behaviours and we know with dogs, one size does not fit all! We do not preach, but offer sound advice and if something doesn’t work, then we have many more tips and useful advice to help you with.
